Stamping technique- Stamping on acetate

Hello!!
The last few days for the New Year to come! Hope you all are having a great time holidaying. Its way too cold here and the temperatures are freezing at times in the night..burrrr...well  today I am here to share a new technique I saw...in fact two techniques...because they both involve acetate stamping..I grouped them in one post...enough of m blah blah...here are the pics..

This first one is stamped used timber brown staz-on ink and sprinkled some diamond dust to give a shimmer effect .The punched lace border is from fiskars. I also used distress inks in vintage photo, walnut stain and worn lipstick to colour the edges and give depth to the card.

the next card is a window card with thank you sentiment ,butterfly and flower images all stamped on acetate using dove grey ink. what I did was..after stamping I sprinkled pearl powder on them... you can use really bright colours from the rangers perfect pearls collection.. and left it for some time. then use sponge daubers to wipe off the extra. do all them over a craft sheet so as to collect the leftovers for re-use.i stamped using silver powder and this is what I got... it is an awesome replacement to the silver metallic staz-on kit that you get.

  5. Hello there Jaya - thank you so much for your comments on my card. I must admit I was pleased with the Christmas tree! You really should enter your cards in the One Stitch at a Time Challenge (http://onestitchatatimechallenge.blogspot.co.uk/). It's an Anything Goes challenge and your cards would be really welcome. They are usually every fortnight but because of Christmas this one is running for a month. I love both of your creations, but the 'burnt orange' effect is striking! Stamping onto acetate is so difficult but you have made a superb job of it!

I would like to wish you a wonderful 2014 and don't forget my 100 follower Candy will be coming up soon.

Lots of hugs to you Sue Pxxx
