An Origami Gift box

Hello my bloggy pals!!
Today I want to show you all an origami gift box I made (I'm quite late in publishing the post)...I made this to gift favours to my mom and dad on Christmas...but while making the box I happened to finish almost all the chocolates I had bought for them!! and then I started sulking! All the efforts I had put in on my treadmill and cardio exercises in the past 1 month  have gone waste! Of course yesss...I already feel fat:(
Well here is the box...

Used gesso to give the feel of snow..After all its Christmas!

Bought some more chocolates to fill in before taking the pictures...now you can guess how spacious the box is! actually I felt bad taking a snap of the empty box..it was cutting such a sorry figure! all because of me..

I hope you like the box.. This is the first time I tried my hands on origami! Its such a wonderful art! No use of any scissors!! (it was the only lid for which I needed the scissors.)
On the lid I used fabric bandage, lots of wet tissue...lots of gesso, jasmine border die cut, doiley diecut, lace mulberry flowers, sequins, stickpin, pielane butterfly sticker, flourish on which I applied some golden acrylic paint and chunky golden glitter..

submitting it to the following :

colourconceptions challenge-boxes/ bag or baskets
itsy bitsy-make it festive
dreamtime designs- Christmas: a technique I have never tried before -I wanted to try origami as I had heard about it since I was a kid...off lately I also saw a few videos on youtube on how to do origami...since and I have been looking forward to try my hands on this... this technique is real fun.. but very tricky at the same time..it requires precision clean folds and a lot of patience!!

come and get it challenges-something new- used the origami technique. Totally new to me.
please let me know how you like it or any thing else you would like to know..
