Side Step card

Hi friends! here I am with my new card I made yesterday.. a step card. I had seen this a many times but this is a hit and trial method because I did not follow any tutorial and attempted it..
Here are the pictures...

The borders of both panels on both sides have been lined with some modelling paste to give the beautiful textures. The heart on the left panel has been made by the corner of a white envelope and after giving it the shape of heart it looked like a cute pocket. The white roses are handmade without any dies or punches using wedding card invites and also the calla lilies.. I also made a few more cute envelopes for the card using some old book pages.
one of them has the word 'LOVE' in it which are studio calico wood veneers from Lulupu

I have made use of the kaiserkraft English rose pattern papers and a few Websters pages cut outs on the right panel. Both these papers are a must buy ..theses are way too gorgeous to use and this is the first time I have laid my hands on both of them. I have also used my new distress ink Aged Mahogany  from Itsy bitsy and new crafters workshop template which has this gorgeous script!!

I have also used the Jef stamp punch to make a few tickets out of the pattern papers.

have a look at the cute envelopes

The tags have been stamped using technique Tuesday stamps from Rainbowcraftykari store
If you have seen the papers you will realize that the pictures are doing justice to the peach and maroon colours of the pattern papers...

Submitting it to the following challenges:

Lulupu- Try something new- the step card is my first try ..the pattern papers( English rose and Websters pages), the aged mahogany distress ink and crafters workshop template script also the technique Tuesday stamps

Itsy bitsy- roses- Handmade and printed. mulberry roses in mauve from stash

Beyond Grey Challnges- Love is in the air- love without red or pink.( the maroons may look like red but they aren't..these are just like the aged mahogany distress ink ..hope that qualifies!)

Lessology-Happy mail day -use Envelopes( reused the old book pages for small envelopes and old white envelope for the heart envelope .wedding invites for white roses.

Love Is You

Hello friends! Here is my second post for the day. For the first post of the day please click here.

Now this card is completely inspired from the head accessory (turban) of a character from a television show being currently aired on Star Plus...hmmm...Mahabharat. Hehe!! I so loved the colours together that I could not resist the urge to use them in my card..I hope you like it..As Neha said in this post here "SPOT IT... CAPTURE IT".
I hope I did justice to her really inspiring post!

Well in spite of being planned, this card took time more than I had imagined. Almost a hour and a half! I did not have the golden papers so had to paint the white layering paper in gold acrylic paint ..the flourish is also painted. The embossed card is distressed using Peacock feathers distress ink from Itsy Bitsy which I cut in half and adhered such that the golden layering would show in the middle (approx10 mm). After this I used red and black cardstock for the sentiment.. I also used crafters workshop template-mini punchinella and the chunky glitter and the  butterflies are from pielane.and the wood veneer is from studio calico from lulupu.com
