Altered Canvas- Two versions

 

Hello Friends!

Hope you all are doing fine. Its Sketch Challenge this fortnight at Lulupu. So I decided to make canvas following the same sketch. Here I have the pictures of the two versions I made.

For this canvas I decided to go with colour gradient concept. Most of the embellishments you see here are recycled. I made use of some beads, silicon balls(from handbag), a metal chain from old wallet and handmade flowers.

The colour gradient was achieved using paints and Lindys sprays and a mix of Lindys spray pigment and gesso.

 

This is the other version of the same canvas which I attempted. This is my first try ever at a canvas so I thought of messing things up! Lol!

For this one it was a tough job since the new colours could not come out well on the dark colours of the previous version. For this look I tried gesso, paints and Lindys sprays and magicals.

Layout- Movie Inspired

 

Hi friends!

Hope you all are doing good. Its summers here and I am just not liking this weather. Its so so hot and dry it feels like doing just nothing. Somehow I managed to make this layout for the current challenge inspiration at Lulupu. The challenge this fortnight is movie inspiration with the twist of dry embossing.

Here is what I created.

 

I was inspired by the elements, colours feathers and theme of the movie Black Swan and since I had seen it I wanted to give myself wings. This is by far the best I could manage. I hope they look like this attempt :)

I have used dry embossing techniques on my layering behind the photo.
 

I loved using my Lindy's sprays for this layout! They are my treasure! I am using them on almost everything these days:)
I used the Lindy's starburst sprays and Flat Fabios .(product description below)

Shabby Chic card for Mother's Day

Hello Friends!

Today I have shabby chic card I made for this Mother's Day. Have a look at the white flower.. I made this some cheesecloth. isn't that really shabby... chic and gorgeous? I have a tutorial for this on the Lulupu blog on my post.. so do check it out and give it a try yourself!

I have distressed the edges and used the fiskars sunburst border punch for one side. did a little bit of layering of the borders which I thought gave it a really delicate look! I have been using this punch for almost 2 years now without any trouble!

Even today the design cuts out beautifully.. want to know how??

 Tip: Once in a while I punch aluminium/thin tin foil with it..and your punch will be as good as new!

The swirl is made using rangers liquid pearls- onyx pearl. The pink flowers are made using mod podge molds and mod melts. he frame is a prima resin treasure.

The mother sentiment is hand written and the you mean the world to me is from the Favourite Memories by Technique Tuesday. The stamp is not like so..I did some masking and selective stamping.. You will understand when you see the stamp.
