Sketch Challenge with a Twist- GD post for Craft Hoarders Anonymous challenge

Welcome to the  Challenge #6

For Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge blog!

Use the sketch below as inspiration for creating your project. You can modify the sketch to create a card, scrapbook layout, altered canvas, mini book cover, and so on. Now, for the TWIST! You must search your hoard and find one item that is OLD and one item that is NEW and use them BOTH on your project. Show us how you combine older items from your stash with something recently purchased.

Please note: you may change the elements of the sketch design. The flowers can become gears, stars, or a bow. The banners can become buttons or a folded edge. Please feel to rotate or flip the sketch. The sketch is just a guide to your creativity.

One talented participant will receive this prize, donated by Hampton Art!

Here is what I created for the sketch challenge..

The new in my card is the stamp from Justrite stamps- Butterfly vines Background and the old are the flowers from my stash which I have been hoarding since long!!

For this card, I used the various background stamps .The tone on tone look is my favourite and I tried this for all the three panels. I love how the white flowers go with the colours!
Don't you?

Road trip Vacation Layout

Hello friends!
Hope you are all doing fine..

Here is a layout I created for the  Lulupu Challenge #29 Design Team inspiration . The challenge this time is to create a Layout -Only layouts allowed on Vacation/Travel/Holiday Theme and your LO should co ordinate with the theme of the challenge!
Isn't that really cool! Well here is my take on it.
Hope it inspires you to participate in our challenge!..

This picture is snapped from a road trip vacation my sister and  I had some time back. did a lot of misting ,distressing, paint and mist splattering, journaling and free hand doodling, washi tapes, stenciling

Used Rangers Crackle paint and gesso for my photographs..hope you can catch the cracked appearance..

Lots of wood veneers, stars and other embellishments and glossy accents on them. The junkyard finding 'adventure' is from Prima marketing .

Hope you can catch the glossy accented wooden gears and watch dials ..also added some gesso and mist to the hexagonal wood veneers and later topped with glossy accents..

I am submitting this LO to the following challenges-

Scrap Around The World Challenge- I got inspired by the colours ,The swirl doodling. the 'just let it go' theme and the crackled appearance of the wall.. used all of this on my Layout

Color Conceptions Challenges- Anything but cards

The pictures has me and my sister and our friends.. the trendy things I incorporated- washi tapes, doodling, mists and paint splatters, thread, faux stitching, wood veneers..

The event that changed our lives as it was only after this that the six of us who were only acquainted to each other  became the 'besties'..

Creating with paper and more- Word play challenge- I used the word 'Adventure'( on the Prima junkyard finding-bulb) and my journaling includes the word' Fun' .

Pick a stamp, Any stamp! - GD post for Craft Hoarders Anonymoys Challenge

Welcome! This is Challenge # 5 for Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog !

You don't have to be a card maker to hoard stamps! With the popularity of pocket-style scrapbooking (Project Life and Photo Freedom) and the explosion of journaling stamps on the market, many scrapbookers have also become stamp hoarders. Digital stamps are more popular than ever. I am sure that most of us have at least one stamp in our stash! You may "collect" wood mounted stamps, clear stamps, cling rubber, or even digital stamps! Get one out, dust it off, and make it the STAR of your project! We want to see a stamp (sentiment, word art, image, etc.) on your project! Feel free to use more than one stamp, but you must have AT LEAST ONE stamped item on your project.

One talented participant will receive this prize, donated by Hampton Art! The GoGo Crafter Rolling Tote is collapsible, allowing it to be shipped and stored flat. It comes with two wheels and a sturdy retractable handle for transporting. It also has interior dividers that are adjustable and removable, two interior pockets, three exterior side pockets for supplies, and a zippered front area. This tote can hold enough items for an evening crop or be a helpful "companion" at trade shows or expos

Also note that the prizes are shipped internationally so all of you crafters do participate.

Here is my project.

For this card here I simply stamped the background stamp in black inks and distressed the two panels with black soot (back panel) and shabby shutters distress inks(front panel). The fabric flowers are handmade using velvet fabric scraps.

Challenge Rules are HERE. Make sure to link your project using the Link Tool on the Craft Hoarders Anonymous Challenge Blog.
