Stamping technique- Stamping on acetate

Hello!!
The last few days for the New Year to come! Hope you all are having a great time holidaying. Its way too cold here and the temperatures are freezing at times in the night..burrrr...well  today I am here to share a new technique I saw...in fact two techniques...because they both involve acetate stamping..I grouped them in one post...enough of m blah blah...here are the pics..

This first one is stamped used timber brown staz-on ink and sprinkled some diamond dust to give a shimmer effect .The punched lace border is from fiskars. I also used distress inks in vintage photo, walnut stain and worn lipstick to colour the edges and give depth to the card.

the next card is a window card with thank you sentiment ,butterfly and flower images all stamped on acetate using dove grey ink. what I did was..after stamping I sprinkled pearl powder on them... you can use really bright colours from the rangers perfect pearls collection.. and left it for some time. then use sponge daubers to wipe off the extra. do all them over a craft sheet so as to collect the leftovers for re-use.i stamped using silver powder and this is what I got... it is an awesome replacement to the silver metallic staz-on kit that you get.

Mixed Media Canvas

Hello everyone!
Hope you all had a great Chrissy!
Today I am sharing a mixed media canvas in shabby chic style..
used lots of pattern papers ,rhinestones beads, corrugated sheet punched out cherry blossom flowers, crochet lace ,corner flourish in brass metal etc ..
and Gesso!(my hot favourite right now)

The background you see is from DCWV gilded orchard collection!! its fabulous! I brought these 2 paper packs- DCWV Gilded Orchard and Four Season stack of 48 sheets each ..just imagine at what price and from where... Itsy Bitsy sale at Lajpath, New Delhi... and at jaw dropping price of only rs 1200 for both combined.!!!!!

this last pic that I shared is just because of the effect!! I was so in love with the way the light from the gold of the paper dispersed on the entire canvas!!

submitting it to the following challenges:
lulupu-blog hop-cook it up challenge- anything goes category -used pattern papers from glitz and cresta la vie, embellishments and punches and diecuts.

Hope you liked it. Would love to hear your comments
Have a great day!

Stamping with Gesso and triple layer stamping

Hi dear blogger friends!
Merry Christmas to all of you  hope you all are having a great time..
today I am sharing with you all a technique of stamping...which uses gesso.. in all these cards I used gesso to stamp...and also used the triple layer stamping...gesso works better with background stamps but since I do not possess any.. I did it with what I had..

Used the Micia wood mounted butterfly stamp and gesso for stamping. The textured look of the image is lovely. Filled in the inside with black colour, liquid glitter and glossy accents. Did the stamping in the triple layer stamping technique.

For this card I mixes gesso with a little dye ink and then stamped using triple layer stamping technique

here I used the hero arts stamps and gesso  and triple layer stamping again
submitting this card to shoppingourstash-one-color

Hope you liked my experiment. I do not have any embossing products and so I wanted to try something that totally bypasses it  since most of the methods involve embossing somehow or the other .I was really happy after seeing the results. The stamped image is so textured...it looks beautiful in real..

Black and white Mini album

Hello!!
I'm winding a lot of projects these days and this is one of them...finally I'm posting it:)
Here I have made a mini album in black and white. The pattern papers are from Papermania.

Here are the pictures..

the cover page-decorated with handmade fabric flowers

The first two pages. Made the journaling cards and a few tags and booklets to hold the photographs. Used rub-ons as well. The stamps are from prima and Tim Holtz visual artistry. There is a side pocket on one page and an envelope shaped pocket on the other

this is the envelope page with the photo booklets and journaling tag

the inserts and the photo mats

The pages are all envelope pages and I inserted a big photo mat in each. This page has a rectangular envelope on the page with photo mat booklet ,a tag, a journaling frame and a date and year tag as well. The page on the right has a folded envelope to hold 6 photo mats in it. Have a look at the edge of the right page. Here is the large photo mat .Used some black lace to make the edges more sturdy.

this is the mini album insert with square tag inside

The pages on the left are more or less the same with little variations in the placement and orientation of the journaling frame and date and year tag. On he right is a photo mat book embellished with kaiserkraft heart rhinestones.

the left page has a corner diecut and the right has a mini album insert with few photo mats and journaling tag

the left page has the flower rhinestone from kaiserkraft and the right has a few photo mats and journaling spots

All the pages with envelope on them have inserts like this. The border punch is Fiskars Sunburst used both on the photo mat in the large envelope page and the small photo booklet.

the last page with the photo booklet the photo mat and the journaling...coz I have to write a lot..:P

and finally the back cover! made the pearl flourish myself!:)

Hope you all will like it. I know a number of pictures in this post but I really wanted to share this one as I had been thinking to make something in black and white...and this is really special to me..

Z- fold card and Faux silk look

Hello!!

Today I'm sharing with you this awesome technique I saw at IBS blog by Leah...the faux silk technique. Here is my Z fold card using this technique..

Isn’t this gorgeous...this technique makes even the most bright pattern papers so pleasant to look at..I just loved it...I distressed the edges of paper as well..

I made this as a z fold card...keeping in mind the challenge at Masnsi’s blog diecuts and more...I so wanted to take part in one of her challenges since long...but things kept me busy...finally I'm am!!

I still have to add a picture here...so left it blank for the time being...will update soon..

I also stamped on images and script on the paper to give that extra edge...the technique adds so much depth and texture to your paper. Its definitely worth the effort!!
I also used the gorgeous crochet trim to add texture
Adding this card to-
DCAM challenges- interactive cards  - I made a z fold card
Beyond grey challenges-shaped projects with garden twist- I used the roses theme here...with white Victorian look as I have a garden just like this one...roses and dasies..my inspiration is the roses and I have incorporated it in the designs as well as the pattern paper...also the  white and Victorian look...
 Hope you like it..

( updated the post today with new pics..sorry for the bad pictures I had earlier.)

I used a lot of glitter balls and liquid glitter with pearl paint... also used some diamond dust but I don't think its visible in the pics...

The embossed paper is distressed on the reverse side. I also used the beautiful crochet trim and a ribbon...the crochet trim was white originally and I used some tea water to die it...
